Explore Taiwan’s Teas

Taiwan, an island nation off the coast of China, has quite a history with tea. The occupation by Japan had strong influences toward producing black teas, but when they regained self-rule, they returned to what they truly loved – oolong teas! In fact, they are known mostly for this style of tea.

There is a lot to know about these teas, but don’t feel daunted. Start out by viewing the map in the right column of this page. Then, read our guide, also shown in the right column. And for even more info, there are articles on this site plus some great people around like Thomas Shu and Josephine Pan to help you learn more and enjoy more!
